Your home
Lounge remote
Volume goes to the TV, where the sound is.
What it does
Everything in plain words. No device names, no settings pages, nothing to program.
The remote that knows where the sound is
Watching Netflix through the receiver? The volume buttons drive the receiver. Receiver off? They drive the TV. Music in the kitchen? The speaker. You never have to think about which box is making the noise.
Movie night does the rest: TV on, receiver on and switched to the TV, lights down to a glow.

Works with what you've got
Beyond™ Home sits on Home Assistant, the open home system that already talks to thousands of brands. These are the ones New Zealand homes have most.
Not on the list? Ask Atlas, or ask us below. If it has an app, there's a good chance it works.
Power, and a lighter home
Next up: what the house is using, in one line, and the small things that make a difference.
What happens at home stays at home
Your home's remote. It runs on a box in your house, and Beyond™ Home itself talks to nobody outside it.
Get it
About five minutes on a box you already have, then ten while it sets itself up. Or we can do it for you.
Rather we set it up?
Tell us what's in your lounge and we'll be in touch about setting Beyond™ Home up for you: the box, your gear in the right rooms, and Movie night working before we leave.
The software stays free, always.
Beyond™ Home is free and open source (GPL-3.0), and runs alongside Home Assistant (Apache 2.0), unchanged. Not affiliated with Home Assistant, Nabu Casa, Yamaha, JBL or any other brand named here; names belong to their owners. Brand support checked 23/10/2026.
