Setup guide: Private email and VPN

How to set up Proton VPN

A VPN hides your real location and your internet traffic from the network you are on, so the café Wi-Fi, the hotel and the websites you visit cannot see where you really are.

All setup guides

Good for: Anyone on public Wi-Fi, anyone travelling, and any business that would rather its staff did not broadcast where they work from.

About 10 minutes

Step by step

One step at a time. Press Done when you have finished each one, and the next appears. If your screen looks a little different, look for the button the step names.
